The short version
- Doneward is designed as a private iPhone utility. Your recordings, transcripts, summaries, actions, and tags live in your Doneward library on your device and, when iCloud is available for your Apple Account, in your private iCloud library for restore continuity.
- Doneward does not require an account, and we do not operate a developer cloud server that stores your voice memos or transcripts.
- Smart summaries and action extraction use Apple Intelligence or other Apple system capabilities when they are available on your device and enabled in your settings.
- We do not sell your data, run advertising profiles, or use third-party tracking SDKs in the app.
- You can export or delete your content from the app. Deleting content in Doneward removes it from the app and may sync that deletion to private iCloud restore.
What Doneward stores locally
When you use Doneward, the app may create and store the following on your iPhone and, when private iCloud restore is available, in your private iCloud library managed by Apple:
- Voice recordings and related metadata, such as date, duration, source, and title.
- Transcripts produced from your recordings when transcription is available.
- Summaries, action items, tags, and review status.
- Routing choices, such as whether you asked Doneward to send an action to Reminders or Calendar.
- Settings, preferences, trial state, and purchase or unlock status provided by Apple.
This content is stored in your Doneward library. We do not receive a server-side copy of your recordings, transcripts, summaries, or actions.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, advertising identifiers, or browsing history.
- We do not collect your Apple ID, billing address, credit card number, or App Store payment details. Apple handles App Store purchases.
- We do not use your content for advertising, data brokerage, or cross-app tracking.
Apple system features
Doneward uses Apple platform features to make capture and routing useful. These may include microphone access, speech or transcription features, Apple Intelligence, Siri Shortcuts, Reminders, and Calendar.
Apple system features are governed by your device settings and Apple's privacy practices. Doneward only asks for the permissions needed for the feature you choose to use. For example, microphone access is needed to record, and Reminders or Calendar access is needed only if you ask Doneward to create items there.
Exports and sharing
You control what leaves Doneward. If you export, copy, share, or route content to another app or Apple service, that destination handles the content under its own privacy practices. Doneward does not control what happens after you choose to share or export content outside the app.
Website and email
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and Doneward email forwarding is handled through Cloudflare Email Routing. Cloudflare may process routine website and email-routing metadata, such as IP address, request time, browser information, and mail routing logs. The Doneward app does not send your recordings or transcripts to Cloudflare.
Your choices
- Access: your content is visible in the Doneward library.
- Export: use the app's export tools where available.
- Delete: delete individual recordings or delete Doneward data from the app. If private iCloud restore is on, deletions may sync to your private iCloud library.
- Permissions: manage microphone, speech, Siri, Reminders, Calendar, and related access in iOS Settings.
Because Doneward does not maintain its own cloud account or developer server for your app content, there may be no server-side copy for us to access or delete.
State privacy rights
If your state grants privacy rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data, contact us at the address below. We will respond as required by applicable law. Because Doneward is account-free and private by design, many requests can be completed directly in the app or through your Apple iCloud settings.
We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children's privacy
Doneward is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to Doneward, contact us and we will respond appropriately.
Security
Doneward relies on iOS device security, local app storage, and Apple permission controls. No system is perfectly secure. Keep your device, passcode, Apple ID, and backups protected.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as Doneward evolves. If we make a material change to how app content is handled, we will update this page and, when appropriate, provide notice in the app.
